The importance of the related functions of Legal and Compliance cannot be overemphasized. With such a wide range of challenging responsibilities, both functions constitute a major part of who we are as a firm. The Legal and Compliance unit is at the very heart of the business; our advice is sought at every turn by virtually all units within the Firm and no deal is complete without our input.

In the ever changing regulatory scenery, promoting a compliance culture and maintaining industry best practices benchmarked against international standards at all times is essential for the success of the business as a whole. This means working closely with Executive Management and other control functions such as Risk & Quality Assurance and Financial Control to monitor the activities of the Firm

Our responsibilities include drafting legal documents, negotiating terms with external parties, providing strategic legal advice, reviewing agreements, liaising with external counsel and regulators to ensure transparency, providing firm wide compliance training and ensuring that internal processes are been adhered to.
